GEO 1010 - Introduction to Geology

Course Description

This course is designed as a general study of the physical features ofthe earth, its surface, subterranean features, and economic deposits. Life history, earth history, and geologic time are discussed. Topics include Plate Tectonics, rocks and minerals, volcanoes, earthquakes, landscapes, and structural geology.

General topics from the Wikiversity will include:

-Important principles of geology
-Glossary of geology terms
-Geology and the environment
-Geology structure
-Chemistry of the Earth
-Geological engineering
-Geological structures of fossiliferrous  bearing material
